poponin is the right place to book if your children love arts and crafts.

You have registered with poponin using the After School Registration form.

Payment terms: One Off sessions, paid in advance. Full School Year: payment in advance at the start of the school year attracts a 3% discount off our standard rates. Full Term In Advance: payment is made in full on receipt of invoice. Full Term Monthly (in advance): We offer a monthly payment scheme for customers who book for the full term but want the flexiblity of split payments. The monthly payment option attracts a slightly higher rate with a minimum monthly payment of £100.00 applicable. Monthly invoices are calculated on the entire term, split across the term taking into account the minimum monthly payment.  Payment of the first instalment is required on receipt of the invoice with subsequent payments made no later than the first day of each applicable month. Choosing the monthly payment option does not change the full-term commitment or cancellation terms. Failure to make payment within the 7 days of an invoice being issued could result in our service being withdrawn. 

Cancellation terms: When a place has been booked and confirmed for a full term, the booking is a commitment to the sessions booked for that term. poponin reserves the place for your child and commits staffing and other resources based on the number of children booked. If you decide that your child no longer wishes to attend during the term, you may cancel their place by giving notice equivalent to the number of booked sessions in the first half of that term. For example, if a term consists of 15 booked sessions and the first half of the term contains 8 sessions, the cancellation notice period will be 8 booked sessions from the date notice is given, excluding any already attended. This allows for different school term lengths and holiday dates. The notice period remains payable, whether or not your child continues to attend during that period.  Where a term has been paid for in advance, the cost of the sessions already attended and the sessions falling within the notice period will be deducted from the amount paid. Any remaining balance will then be refunded.  Where a customer is paying by monthly invoice, the remaining invoices will be recalculated to reflect the cancellation notice period and any amount still due will remain payable immediately.  The cancellation notice period applies to the booking itself and is the same regardless of whether the term is paid for in full in advance or through the monthly payment arrangement.

Individual missed/unattended sessions: Missing an individual booked session does not constitute cancellation and is not refundable. This includes sessions missed due to illness, holidays, playdates, school activities or other reasons. If your child is unable to attend a particular session, please let poponin know as soon as possible. Not knowing causes us to worry, means we must approach the person taking your child and also holds up our return to poponin.

Earlier pick up does not result in a reduction in session price.

Sickness: If your child is sick or has fallen ill during the school day please let us know as soon as possible. Not knowing causes us to worry and also holds up our return to poponin.

All pickups are from the Year 1 / Year 2 school playground and Year 3 upwards playground at St Lawrence School. Clubs are open to children in Year 1 and above.  We welcome Reception class children if their siblings are attending poponin.

Please let your child’s class teacher know they are being collected by a member of the poponin team.

The poponin team member will be carrying a poponin branded flagpole/pencil or umbrella.

School clubs: poponin can pick up your child from a school club which finishes after the standard school day, by pre-arrangement. An additional fee will be applied.

Children walk, accompanied, to poponin, in the High Street, from St Lawrence school using the back roads and twitten. If you are happy for your child(ren) to walk unaccompanied to poponin (year 6) please let poponin know via the registration form.

On arrival at poponin your children will be provided with an afternoon snack and drink.

If your child(ren) are attending poponin with a mobile device, please let us know as ideally we would like to keep poponin a 'surfing'  free zone. We accept & acknowledge mobiles are needed for parental contact or in some cases for being used for a specific creative project.  

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are running late for your chosen pick up time. A fee of £8.00 will be added per half hour unless agreed otherwise.

If someone other than those named on the registration form, is collecting your child(ren) please tell us as we will not let your child leave. If someone other than those on the registration form turn up to collect your child without poponin having been advised by those named on the registration form we will not release the child(ren) until we have spoken to you or the person collecting has some form of communication they can provide, from those named on the registration form, that states you have authorised their release from poponin’s care. Our genuine preference is that the parent/carer advises poponin of any changes in advance. This can be done by email or phone – 01273 833393.

poponin cannot accept childcare vouchers or any form of childcare funding as we are not Ofsted registered. poponin is officially exempt from the requirement to be Ofsted registered because we are an arts and crafts facility and service. That said we follow the guidelines, principles and ratios of Ofsted to ensure all visitors are well looked after, that responsible procedures and guidelines are in place and followed to ensure the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of all.

When the term comes to an end please remember to confirm your place for the next term as we do not automatically assume continuance, unless advised otherwise.

Certain activities are not included in the After School Creative Club activities, if you are happy for your children to undertake creative activities that carry a cost please let us know and we can add these onto your invoice.
